Spirent's Avalanche Layer 4-7 provides capacity, security and performance testing for network infrastructures, Web application infrastructures and Triple Play services that ensures Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) for your customers. Avalanche pinpoints network capacity with the highest performing Layer 4-7 traffic generation capability available.

Spirent Avalanche can validate performance of several types of real servers including Web Server, Application Server, Mail Server, DHCP Services, FTP Server, DNS Server, Telnet Server, RTSP/RTP QuickTime Streaming Server, Multicast Server and more.

Spirent Avalanche provides performance and capacity testing on a variety of network devices including: Firewall, Application Firewall, Load Balancer, Cache, Proxy, URL Filter, Content Filter, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, Reverse-Proxy, SSL Accelerator, HTTP/HTTPS Accelerator, SMTP Relay, IDS/IPS, IPSec VPN Gateway
and SSL VPN Gateway.

• 80 Gbps Line Rate Stateful Traffic: Provides the capability to generate line rate stateful traffic up to 80Gbps allowing massive scale testing of layer 4-7 protocols and application flows -- in addition the Avalanche 3100 is capable of bidirectional testing and can operate in excess of 90 Gbps from a single 3100 appliance
• Enormous Capacity: The Avalanche standard configuration can support over 30 million open TCP connections. For larger scale connectivity needs, such as carrier class firewalls and other edge devices, the Avalanche 3100GT configuration can support an industry leading 70 million open connections
• Expandable: The Avalanche 3100 can grow and comes in different port densities to meet you specific needs, combo 1/10G version, 2x10G, 4x10G and 8x10G options are available
• The Most Advanced Load Profile: Flexible load profile offers testers the flexibility to specify load variables such as connections per second, concurrent connections, transactions per second, new user sessions per second and concurrent users
• Spirent TestCenter Compatible: Avalanche is also available on Spirent TestCenter in a number of scalable 1G and 10G configurations for over 480Gbps of line rate layer 4-7 traffic and over 120 Million sustained connections on a single modular chassis

Avalanche supports all major protocols, including HTTP 1.0/1.1, HTTPS, FTP, streaming media, IPv6, voice (SIP), mail (SMTP/POP3), DNS, Telnet, 802.1Q VLAN tagging, IPSec, PPPoE and many others. Broad-based protocol support enables you to accurately test for performance-sensitive network activities.

Avalanche 290:

Avalanche 290 delivers a powerful, portable load testing solution that can be quickly deployed in remote locations.

• over 250 000 Simulates simultaneously connected users with unique IP addresses
• generates up to 10,000 requests per second (HTTP 1.0 with no persistence) and over 25,000 requests per second (HTTP 1.1 with persistence)
• over 5000 streaming requests
• Portable, compact load-testing appliance

 

Avalanche 3100:

Avalanche 3100 is a rack-mountable appliance that generates high volumes of realistic user requests, and offers a scalable solution for testing the world’s largest networks.

Simulates:

• over 30 000 000 simultaneously connected users with unique IP addresses
• over 1 000 000 requests per second (HTTP 1.0 with no persistence), and over 300 000 (HTTP 1.1 with persistence), o of 200 000 sustained video sessions...
• over 200 000 sustained IPsec tunnels
• 3U, 19-inch rack-mountable infrastructure stressing appliance
